would only start at mid to WOT. Found bad coil, replaced. Also replaced points, condenser, plugs. Now will start at lower throttle, but sucks bulb dry and dies. Carb was rebuilt before I got but hasn't been in the water for a few years. Is it possible I need to pull carb again, or could it be something else. Thanks...Dan

Tank not venting (try taking the cap off) or a partial blockage in the fuel line before the bulb or the pick up from the tank. Either will cause the bulb to be sucked down and then die of fuel starvation.

pulled pickup ass, clear, took cap off and even took apart primer bulb to make sure nothing in check valve, still does the same thing. It will only start at mid to WOT, will die when idled down, picks back up if I advance throttle quickly. Reeds?? Idle circuit in carb?? its getting frustrating. Thanks..Dan

just had a marine mechanic suggest it could be crank seals. Based on my info in first post, do you think this could be the problem?
