ive got twin 40 hp vros 1988.the starbord engine runs well, the port engine idiles ok,in throttle up it does well until about halfway,if you try to go full throttle the rpms go up to about 4000 and then fall downto 2000.i took the plastic cover off the carbs and it was spitting fuel out the low speed needles and fuel collecting in the bottom of the carb cover? whats up?out of adjustment?both the motors share the same inboard tank. |

thank you for that, but ive spun a hub be for on the offshore boat i used to work on,this is diffrent, when you throttle up it wants to but it like is choking it down,it starts shaking and running rough,if you return to half throttle then increase to full it increases rpms normally then falls back,it will push the boat with just the port engine under load with out running the starboard one.just wondering why so much fuel spitting out the front of carbs? |
