Could someone please enlighten me as to the gauge of wire I need to add an electric starter to my 69' 18 Fastwin? Battery to solenoid is about 14 to 15 feet. Solenoid to starter under 2 feet. I was hoping that 6 gauge would work for both the neg/pos cable from bat and the pos cable solenoid to starter. How about switch wires? I'll probably go with just on/off switch. In the service manual, they show two wires going from a key switch to the armature plate, do I need anything like that? Thanks for any help. |

I would say a 6 gauge would be fine. 1.5 for the control wires. |
