Hey folks just a query My old 140 had run pretty well over the past summer with only minor probs in the few runs ive made this winter. I only use the bugger every 3-5 weeks, and was wondering what kind of PM "preventative maint" I should be carrying out in between. I seem to be crapping my self every time I take it out fearing, are the carbs going to playup again ? as it has once or twice before after a 4-5 week park up. am I going to have a fuel prob ( after just sitting ?am I going to have a spark prob etc. I start her up every week for 10 mins on the hose but that doesnt tell me if shes gonna be right on the water ...... running ! any Suggestions thatnks in advance .... |

u r doing,a good thing,....at my shop,i advise to put stabil,in fuel,and run for 15 min,once a month....keep a good wtr pump in,keep the lu oil chg 1 a yr...but,mostly,...dont let it 'sit'...that does more damage,to seals,wtr imp,and carbs,than running it,every day...keep new plugs,DE-CARB it.. |
