my 67 fastwin 18 dumped the gearcase gears. mostly the pinion is bad, but, the forward gear is a bit rounded off. engine is 18702r-e09584. One question i have is , my gearcase assy. # is 381971. I found a guy online with a 1967 20 hp gearcase part #381972. I want to know if it will work with mine and or whats the differance between the two? |

If a johnson gearcase it will have different splines to the crankshaft, but you can use your driveshaft. |
