the boat will run great when its cold or sets overnight but after a while it loses power. It will run around 35 to 40 for awhile sometimes about 10 minuites then at other time for a couple of hour. then while running it will bog down and will only run about 20 to 25. Their dont seem to be a noise or a miss it just want go. leave it overnight then it runs great for a while then the same problem comes back.

Be patient John and don't be quick to double post. Sometimes it takes us a few hours to get around to answering.

Check the compression. What are the readings of all cylinders?

With the spark plugs removed, check to see if the spark will jump a 7/16" gap on all cylinders with a strong blue lightning like flame.... a real SNAP!

Check the spark when the engine is cold, than also after it is hot and this problem ocurrs.

Weak erratic spark when hot is caused by a cracked or otherwise failing stator under the flywheel. If a substance is dripping down from the rear and/or forward portion of that stator, dripping down on the timing base and powerherad, replace the stator.

Let us know what you find.

Thousands of parts in my remaining stock. Not able to list them all. Let me know what you need and I'll look it up for you. Visit my eBay store at:
