If of the 'new' type, just switch it to another cylinder.

Its a older engine,So how would that help.IT seems im loosing power and im not sure if its a plug is there anyway of telling

You can get a Spark tester at Harbor Frieght for less than 5 bucks and new spark plugs from NAPA. Id start there. Checking out the spark is easy and the spark plugs probably need replaced anyway.
