Hi all...
I am about to lose my mind on this thing...
It starts up fine cold, runs great for about 5 to 20 min...then stalls (like you just shut off the key)... Timing light on #1 shows no spark after stall. If I let it set an hour or so, starts back up, and repeats the same process...
I have rebuilt the carbs / kits / cleaned all jets
I have replaced:
Power Pack (twice)
Coils (both)
Rectifier
Fuel Pump / Filter
Fuel Line (tank to carb) / Bulb
Tanks / Fittings
I have removed the flywheel, and don't see anything obvious there...

Well, they returned the last power pack as faulty, new one should be in today, with the addition of the thermostat (stuck slightly open),and a telltale (for good measure)... If the problem persists, I guess next stop....Stator... |

Well.... It was the stator, replaced it today and noticed as I was installing the flywheel how much stronger the magnets were on the new one...wow...
Ran it for over an hour with no problems...WooHoo! |
