Fuel mix ratio for Johnson motors

I have 3 Johnson outboard motors. Need to find out the gas/oil mixture ratio. Thanks for the help. Here's the info:

1) 1977 35HP Model 35RL77H
2) 1983 35HP Model J35RLCTS
3) 1990 30HP Model J30RLESS

I believe all outboards are 50:1

All three of those run on 50:1

All Johnson and Evinrude outboards use 50:1 since 1964 (including those supplied in the 1980s as using 100:1)

See the link I gave above for the fuel mix.

J4C plugs gapped at 0.030" but go to J6C if fouling is a problem ('52- '58 used J6C and an oilier mix!)

TCW:II Or Greater@ A ratio of 50:1 Thats equal to one pint 16oz to each 6 Gallons of PREMIUM FUEL !

But not for a 1959 model. 24:1 according to the link. That's 1 pint in 3 gallons.

I'm curious why the 100/1 motors have been switched to 50/1? I have an 88 25hp and the factory lit. all said 100. Now it's 50?? why?

Many powerheads blew due to that mixture. Obvious to many of us that a OMC goof took place. Need I say more?

www.outboardbooks.com ... Even though these are for buying a manual if you know your model number you can search it and find the year of your engine.
