I have a Johnson 15hp motor from the 1980's. I'm just trying to figure out what year exactly is my motor and how to tell what it is. The ID tag on the motor is as follows: J15RCSD E5241094 |

Thanks for posting. So it's a 1980 15hp. What letters or numbers where able to tell you that it was a 1980? The reason I ask is that I'm looking into buying another Johnson 15hp and I would like to be able to tell the year. Thanks |

CS in the model number. OMC's code is the word INTRODUCES whereas each letter stands for a number..... I=1, N=2, etc. |

I just bought a 6hp Fisherman and the serial number is 6902M-E02887 What I can determine, is that this is 1969 year model. If anyone can confirm this, I would be so thankful |

Just picked up a 1970 Evinrude 9.5 HP Motor model # 9022C serial # E01154 We cleaned both fuel filter and carb out today. When runn'n it at idel speed it runs great, however it seems to be missing when runn'n wide open. Any ideas as to why? Also need to know the gap set of the plugs on the JC4 ... |
