The alarm is sounding (constantly, not the intermittent low oil alarm) and the engine begins to not run past idle (and sometimes not at idle either). Runs fine with no alarm in the yard with a hose supply. After cooling off a while, it will idle at the dock again fine. Could this be a fuel or oil restriction? |

this,would either be overheat,..or fuel restriction....this engine,is carbed? |

It's EFI - I've checked and double checked everything on the cooling system because that's what I first thought it was (and my gauge had quit working). The engine is running cool (got the gauge working), ran it with the theromostats out, etc... Disconnected both engine temperature switches to see if they were sending a false reading... Alarm still sounds. |

then,it needs to go on a laptop.to ck for codes,..there are at least,38 things that triggers a ck eng lite and warnings. |
