Howdy! My '92 15 hp electric start has a neutral switch that won't make contact until it is deeply depressed - too far for the gearshift lever cam to make it function. Before I try to take apart the switch and start playing around I'm wondering if I'd be just wasting my time - has this been a problem with these switches and should I just go ahead and buy a new one? Opinions?
Lucky for me, it fires on the 1st or 2nd pull, so even my kids don't really care if the electric start works... Thanks! |

Thanks for the response jwb, but I should have mentioned it's already at the top of the adjustment... and still needs to go another 1/4" or more to function. I don't know about twisting/bending the bracket, but that would certainly solve the problem. |
