So I replaced the coil in my 9.9 because the top one wasn't getting spark. The new one tested good but now I still don't get spark. It's not the spark plug, checked that. The bottom one gets a spark. I checked all the wires I could see and it seems like everything is in working order. Anyone know what my issue is/could be? Thanks a lot for any assistance.

Powerpack also called the CDI unit.The black box that feeds the coils.Replace it. |

Would that matter even though I'm getting spark to one plug? I guess I figured that the power pack would still be good if I was getting spark to the lower plug but not the upper one. |

yep,....but,....u need to ohm ck,the elct under flywheel....in 31 yrs,...i have YET,to have one ohm what the book says....soooooo,......your best bet,repl pwr pack........making sure of your plug-in conns'. |
