On my 1990 Johnson 110, I noticed I only have 2 wires coming off the horn. Should I have 3 ? My schematic shows three. If the system is woking correctly, the horn should go off when I turn on the key,,Right? Also, I should be able to ground out the TAN wire and sound horn, I'm told. What if I wanted to hook up an "idoit Lamp" in the dash. Could I tap into the wiring some where to do so? Thanks guys.

The horn should have a build in black ground wire that of course attached to a ground point.

The TAN wire should attach to the terminal closest to that black wire. Purple (12v) wire attaches to the remaining terminal.

Yes, you can install a idiot light if you wish. Just attach it in parallel, not in series.

The horn is available but rather overpriced. Check with this website first, then your local dealership.
