I had the carbs rebuilt with kits by local marine mechanic. It still caughed and missed especially after running well for about 5 min.

I replaced the gas hoses with black hoses purchased at auto store. One hose that feeds the pump appears to flatten out.

I have a new SS 15" prop, and the boat was runninig great. Then it started missing and bogging down. I adjusted the needles with success but it again caughed, bogged and missed. It certainly runs better when I mash the gas line ball.

So, fuel pump? Is there a better hose set up?

i was referring to timer base advancement,as u throttle, make sure it moves, linkage is'nt disc etc....the ign system has brkr points, cap rotor anti-rev spring etc,and all can cause prob's...look up some of joe reeves posts on this ign system,he has some excellent write-ups.
