yr/2000 Yamaha 40hp runs 14 seconds exactly and shuts off

As soon as I crank up it runs exactly 14 seconds and shuts off. I can hold the throttle or let it idle either way 14 sec and it shuts off..
It is also running rough.. Has 3 carburetors...
Any ideas? Thanks in advance...

What are you doing to get it to start and run again for 14 seconds?

Just turning the key and letting go... it will crank every time just only runs 14 seconds and shuts off
