I have a Mariner 4 horse 2 cycle

4M 6EO S 061600. I think it is an 84 but the serial # lookup always has another letter with the 4M. Is it in fact an 84?

Also what does the odd letters added to the 4M part mean?


New to boating, recently bought 1984 Holiday Mansion 36 foot houseboat and just got rubber dinghy (reason for Mariner 4 horse)
