I purchased a very good condition Yamaha 15hp (2013) with low hours on it. Took it out once and was great throttled up with lots of power.
Sat for about 3 weeks with 22 ltre gas tank outside. Maybe the breather was open in very cold and warmish temperature. Could condensation build up cause water to be in the fuel tank and causing the acceleration problem? It seems like a fuel issue as I don’t imagine any parts became faulty during the time it sat but if the fuel has water from condensation from an unsealed tank in it or maybe fuel went bad could likely be the problem?
I’ll be able to clean the tank and line out and replace with new fuel soon. I l live in the country.
