y pipe help needed

I have 84 sea ray 245 with mercruiser 260 the y pipe is all corroded where it mates up to the gimbal unit. I purchased a good gimbal alpha 1 i think. it has both bolt patterns for the y pipe. my old y pipe has 4 bolt holes one is kinda offset to the left. and the y pipe has round ends. I cant find any part numbers that I can read. can I use y pipe with oval ends. do they take special hose connecters. what y pipe do I use ???

Alpha first gen had offset pattern. Gen 2's had a square 4 bolt pattern.

ok I talked to the guy at the boat junkyard and he said I have a gen 2 gimbal and can use the gen 2 or oval y pipe as long as I use gen 2 elbows. all the pipes he had were toast
