I would appreciate some advice here. I'm planning on restoring a 20ft Pacemaker which has a 3.0lt OMC Cobra in it which has been sitting around. Thought about going through the process of getting it going then started looking around for a reasonably priced set up. Came across a AD31P-A with a 290 DPDI drive. After talking to the guy on the phone I believe he is genuine it sounds like it would be a great engine to buy. Reliability and cost, a steal at 5 grand Australian. I was pretty keen on the idea then I started to think about weight difference. The OMC at a guess weighs around 5-600 pounds drive and engine, the volvo weighs 977 pounds all up. Is possible to install it or is it just too heavy?
