what motor do I have

I have what I believe to be a 1998 Evinrude Intruder 175. There are no seriel numbers on the motor. It was a OMC test motor then rebuilt and donated to our fire dept. It could be a 96 or 97 I don't know. I need a trim and tilt motor but there are a few different models listed for different model numbers. Is there some other identifying features that would tell me my model number? Would there be numbers on freeze plug that would help and where is that located if so? Thanks for any help.

If you go to the back of the engine. On the port side (left) you should see a silver sticker with the motors information. Some idiots paint over them when they are repainting an engine.

There should be a freeze plug about the size of a quarter on top of the block with some numbers on it.

They are all the Showa (Fastrac) trim...same motor fits Johnson/Evinrude/Suzuki/Yammy motors,just different connectors and if carb of DFI. If its a Intruder it is carbed and all trim motor are same from 1991 to 2004. Here what ya need..
