Twin L200 1991 Yamahas. New to me motors. One motor was not pumping water. That motor got so hot, it melted the waterpump case. I put a water pump on it and still not pumping. I removed the tsat cover to make sure and you can see hot steamy air come out of pee hole.
I dropped the lower unit and hooked a garden hose directly to the water pickup tube the water pump usually hooks into. On one motor that is the problem, the water only comes out the exhaust. On the motor that seems to be running fine it comes out both.
