water comming from lower weep hole

alpha 1 1989 changed water pump both upper and lower pump.Water flowing from weep hole on lower unit,I changed the pump because I had gear oil coming from weep hole before. is the lower pump part installed correctly?

The lower half of the impeller hsg. has the oil seal for the drive shaft attached to it. It pops into place when the hsg. is pressed into position. Is oil not leaking now? You should drain the oil, inspect for water and then pressure test the OD.

no oil leaking from weep hole just a stream of water. pressure tested the outdrive and found a leaking shift shaft seal is gone but I don't think that has anything to do with the water from the weep hole, I understand you do get some water coming out the weep hole but it is usually a drip. Maybe the copper inlet pipe wasn't seated properly?
