Volvo Penta MD2020 to Mercruiser Alpha one gen II

Hi all, have you some information about adapter for connect Volvo Penta MD2020 to Alpha One gen II? And some tip for best proppeler for this engine and boat Bayliner 7m for quiet voyage on lake without waves and currents. Last proppeler was for engine 300PS.

I thinking about tis, but for MD2020, its good way?

Thank you

With a modification to the mounting bolt pattern circumference, you may be able to get this style drive coupler to work with the MD2020 .

However, how do you plan to mate the MD2020 to a Mercruiser Alpha 1 gen 2 flywheel cover?
Also note how deep the MD2020 flywheel is from the rear engine flange face!
What will you do for a SI or SA (required for the A drive) with the Diesel engine?

Volvo Penta has used either Borg Warner or their own pattern rear engine adapters.

The Alpha drive uses the AFT portion of their flywheel cover, and the FWD area of their inner transom plate for rear engine mounting.

In other words..... how will you achieve this?

In all honesty, it would be much easier to do this conversion and go with an AQ series Volvo Penta stern drive.
No more Dog Clutch gear engagement, therefor no need for the SI or SA.
All components are easily available.
It would require that you enlarge the transom opening some.... but that is easy to do.

Also, the Duo Prop becomes a very easy addition should you go that route later on.

Assuming you already have a Mercruiser powered boat hull...Look up the divorced drive set up with jack shaft.... You can install any engine with this set up if you have a little room. There is a new inner transom plate with a bearing support for a drive shaft.... The pic is of the bearing support that hangs on the inner transom plate.

Stay away from the old AQ series drive parts are not easy to find and they are ridiculously expensive.
