I have a 1979 Tollycraft with twin Volvo TMD40 diesels. While cruising the other day at 2,200 rpm I pushed the throttles down and immediately heard a bang, like a broken shaft. After shutting down I realized that the port prop was not spinning and I could turn the output shaft on the transmission by hand. I would appreciate it if anyone had a clue what is wrong and if the transmission is toast before I pull it and take it to a shop.
