I Bought a 96 Islander with a 4.3 alpha 1 LXgen+. ON test drive day it was nice and smooth. Had to fix a fuel leak in the filler for the tank hose. Since then, Ive notice a vibration> the engine is mooth as glass at idle but when I try to accelerate, it starts to shake but then the vibration goes away. I can run at various speeds and power setting without issue. But when I decelerate and the boat is coming off plane, is vibrates for a couple of seconds and then is smooth again. I need to take it out and write down the RPMs and then test to see if it vibrates at those rmp setting in neutral.
Any thoughts? Prop looks new but could be a rebuild for all I know but it looks good. No nicks. Shaft seems solid with a very small amount of fore and aft play.
