So I’m going through a rebuild and came across some very small metal chunks in the cooling jacket. But I have yet to find where they came from. I’ve tore apart the entire block and the lower unit portion that I needed to see if something broke. It’s mind boggling but still searching as I haven’t found anything that has been broke. I thought by chance I sucked something up but the inlet screens are perfectly intact. The metal chunks were found in a port at the very bottom of the block but I can’t figure out what the port is. The hole is forward of the water inlet coming up from the water pump. Does anyone have a clue what this is?
