For my sins I purchased an distributor 1978 IL6 900.
I want to replace the rectifier, it's done, with a six wire rectifier/regulator. Yellow to yellow, grey to brown, the tach, black is ground. So which red to the harness and which to the red post on the switch-box, the male bullet end or the female bullet end or does it matter? Any insight would be very much appreciated.
