Unknown Part

I just found this laying under the hood of my 1977 Johnson 35 hp motor. Does anyone recognize this part or know what it goes to?

Looks like the cam that opens the carburetor's throttle shaft.

It's got a part number on it.. go in the outboards parts section on here, and look it up.

Are you sure it is a 1977? Well anyhow, I believe it is item #34, cam. Design has been superseded several times. 1979 shown here: http://www.marineengine.com/parts/j...=35952A&manufacturer=Evinrude&section=Magneto

That is the part, We finally figured out where it goes. It was the throttle cam. Had to remove the flywheel to bolt it back on. The threads were stripped so I had to re-thread it and re-install. Funny thing is the motor still ran without it, just not quite right. Thanks for your help!
