I have tried every thing I can think of trying to remove lower pin on the trim unit so that I can replace the whole unit. It for some reason will not buge no matter how hard I have been trying to beat it out hammering with a drift and using a 3lb hammer. Top pin was also hard to remove but did get it out. Trim unit moves easy on the pin it is frozen in the engine bracket itself. Heated (with propane)lots of Power Blaster to no avail. What next? Oh yes I have removed C-clips.

Sounds to me that you've covered all bases... propane torch, heavy hammer, I assume a good size punch of some sort.

I know what you're speaking of... been there many times. I can only wish you luck.

Thanks Joe. Going to have my son come over and using bigger hammer try his luck at wacking away. He is much bigger, younger and stronger then I ever was. I think that might do it.
