Trim switch

I have a problem with the remote trim switches. I have one switch on the actual throttle handle that controls both engines. I also have a one for each engine on the metal housing that the throttle controls are mounted to. One of the individual switches is sticking. I need to order a new one. In the meantime can I disconnect the individual switch and use the switch that controls both engines

I don't know. Seems to me a wiring harness would have the switches in parallel...side by side with power on one side and the motor on the other allowing power to be transmitted to the motor by any switch regardless of the position of the others.

It makes no sense for a designer to wire the dual switch through either single switch since the ability to close the circuit would depend on the position of that switch and if it were ON the motor would be running anyway.
