transom screw handles?

How do you remove the handle? or the bottom washer? I have a new handle and threads but no washer on the new one so must re-use the old?

Should be a center screw holding it.

Oh there is but they are really flat screw heads, I cant seem to get a hold of them?, and I'm fairly sure there is a pin that needs to be pounded out? would it be easier to just take the washer off? if so how?

To get the old handle and screw out, you either have to remove the washer(and screw) or the handle. Up to you. To reuse the old washer, the screw must first be removed, one way or the other.

Get the proper wrench and you can get the screw out.

If the 67 bits are original then you may have to break / remove the special washer that holds the big washer.-------Then get new bits and install the new handles that you have.-------------Shops had a special tool to install these bits before the came out with the new style with the wee bolt.
