Tohatsu power trim compatibility question

Hi All,

First time posting... I just bought my first tinny. It has a Tohatsu 2003 M50D2 and runs great. I just spotted an ad for someone parting a 2002 M70c and wondered if the power trim / tilt and electric start are compatible?

Any advice would be great.

Thx.

Jason

The M50D2 uses starter motor
3C8760101MSTARTER MOTOR$478.92
When these are used up, they will be NLA.

The M70C uses starter motor
3C8760101MSTARTER MOTOR$478.92
So, YES, the starter motors will interchange.

However, for PTT units, the M50D2 used two different PTT units, depending on serial numbers. These were single-cylinder units.
The M70C uses an entirely different PTT unit with two cylinders (one for tilt, and another for trim), so they will NOT interchange.

Brilliant.

Thx for the info Paul.
