I have an older Tohatsu. I can find a serial number on it. I traded a boat for it. The cover has been painted black. It’s a pull start and tiller steered. It’s a two cylinder. I am having a problem with controlling the speed. It is not hard to start and idles well. The problem is that when I try to increase the speed it accelerates too much. It seem like there is two speeds, one slow and one too fast. The person I got it from had rebuilt the carburetor and other items. Any ideas what the problem is?
