I have a 2 year old Tohatsu MFS30 and after successfully running it a couple of days ago, I tried to start it to get it on the trailer and nothing happens. The 12v system comes on with the turn of the key but nothing happens when I make the extra turn to start the motor. No click, no turning over, silence.
The kill switch is in fine, its not in gear etc. I can start the engine with the pull start and I can start it by shorting the solenoid to kick the starter motor directly.
I can only assume there is a fuse or some other connection between the key turn and the solenoid, but the inline fuse from the ignition is fine and the small fuse on the motor is fine.
I'd love any thoughts?
