Tohatsu M90A oil level sensor

When I picked up this motor the oil tank and starter had been removed, ive bolted everything back together but I cannot see where the two wires from the oil level sensor plug into, one has a ring connector and assume this simply goes to ground but the other has a bullet connector and I cannot see anywhere where this plugs into? The wiring diagram shows this going into the main loom and the only thing I can think of is that its hidden behind the CDI unit cover?

Would leaving this off put the motor into limp mode or does it need to complete the circuit to cause an issue?

The oil level sensor goes to the CD. If it is not grounded, no alarm will trigger. When it grounds, the low oil signal is active.

Thank you, so no issues with limp mode if its not connected?

It is a switch normally closed when the level is good it opens the switch.
