Tired of mechanical fuel pumps

Learned about lube after the replacing the first set. On the 3rd set or 4th after 5 year. Believe diaphrams are failing. Can't see any gas in the return line. I keep a spare, so when I put it on, no issue for a season. Add additive to the fuel when it sits. Do burn 10% ethanol.

If you were to switch to the electric fuel pumps, don't forget that you must have a low oil pressure disrupt, or cut-out circuitry installed.
The Regs require that if the engine was to stall out, the fuel pump power must be interrupted.
The assumption would be...... a breached fuel line, for example, whereby the engine may stall out, but the fuel pump would otherwise continue to operate.

This also creates the need for a start-by-pass circuit, or a momentary helm switch that would power the fuel pump prior to oil pressure.
