Stator and Trigger

1983 Mercury 45hp. The stator and trigger have been removed by an idiot. We have the outboard back and we are trying to replace them but we don't know the position of the original parts. We don't know what position to put the replacement parts. Any help will be appreciated.

Relax, brother....life is full of idiots. They sell tools to just about anyone. If your on a budget.....this is the manual that can help you, not the best....but should cover enough to get your motor back together.

Wires coming out of the stator go to the right side. All 4 bolts need to line up.

Wires coming out from stator are located to the front of block above top carb the routed left behind starter bendix as should be loom and screw the to switchbox
