Slow speed lean and rich setting and high speed lean and rich settings

I have a 1961 5 hp evenrude outboard boatmotor I'm would like to k ow where to set the low speed and high speed both are marked with 1-5

Don't make it complicated. IF---IF they haven't been messed with, simply set them where it runs the best at full throttle and idle. But if they have been messed with, preliminary setting is 1-1/2 turns out from lightly seated for slow speed and 3/4 turn out for high speed. That will get it started. Then fine tune as above. Note: unless you have a professional test tank. final adjustment has to be done in gear, on a boat, on the lake.
