Slow Oil Leak Port side of Yamaha 115 Outboard

Ever since I changed my oil I've developed a really slow leak on the port side of my 2012 Yamaha FL115A outboard. I replaced the oil back in April, it was overfilled a bit but corrected before boat was put into the water. Ever since then it's been leaking super slow from only the one side. I've ran it about six hours total since the oil change. Any ideas what's causing this?

Where exactly is the leak? The left side is pretty vague. Left of the gear case, left of the midsection, left of the power plant or ?

also, why was the oil level overfilled? the 115 is prone to "making oil".
