just bought 40hp 87 mariner, oil injection. can't find oil resouvior. where?

not sure about mariner,but should be plastic bottle on engine!!My mercury has it on engine.

That engine was oil injected with only an auto blend unit mounted inside the boat, connected between the fuel line.
It may well have been removed and thrown away... This is the best place for it.
So just mix your fuel/ oil at 50:1....

Yes, correct, this would have had the autoblend system (external oil injection). And also correct, the best location to mount the autoblend was in the garbage can far enough away from the motor that it couldn't spontaneously reconnect when you weren't looking. Autoblend was discontinued after a couple of years after leaving numerous motors on the scrap heap.

Hi. I'm new here..
I was searching autoblend threads to see if there is any "safety wiring" on autoblend.
So you can actually throw it as far as you can and no any jump wiring etc is not needed?
