I have an '84 50hp 2 stroke that is having some leakdown issues with the tilt/trim. I believe it to be a checkvalve issue. This is a pre-integrated setup where the pump and valve body sit in the hull and is connected to the cylinders via hydraulic hoses. The valve body is not rebuildable and is extremely difficult to find used. With that said, Mercury has a somewhat similar type setup used in newer applications (see ebay link below).

What sorts of roadblocks would I encounter swapping out the existing pump/valve assembly with one in the ad? Has anybody here tried it before?
