Not in a position to do so now, but thinking one for winter and keep a lookout for parts I need.

I have a 82 evinrude 70 without PTT,

What do I need for it take it
Trim motor with hydraulic,
Wiring harness

Do I need a different locking bracket ? The mid part of the outboard?

Also how hard is it to do?

Thanks

Your location ?------Not hard to do.-----Have done some in the past.-----No other parts needed , just the power trim unit and the electrical stuff.

A little too far to walk / swim over I think.--3 / 4 and 6 cylinder ones will work.----No 2 cylinder units will fit.

I did this in a 1978 Johnson 70HP many years ago. I believe the trim unit I got was from a mid-80's johnson/Evinrude 3 cylinder motor and it was all direct bolt on as Racer said. Add-on handles for your helm used to be available to give you a thumb actuated trim switch. Those might be hard to find nowadays so your best bet is probably just to locate a new/used control box that already has the trim switch.
