Replaced prop shaft on my 2005 Mercury 90. now I'm hearing a hard knock under power.

I picked up some spyder wire and it shaved my prop shaft down and destroyed the inner and outer seal. I replaced the shaft and both seals. When I put the motor under power, just above idle, I started hearing a pop. It wasn't a constant pop but occurred about every 5 to 10 seconds. Any ideas?
