repair for vro fitting 1988 120 hp.

Hi,
I was changing my fuel line from the vro to the engine and the fitting poped off. It is threaded but will not tighten. Wondered whether to glue it and what kind of glue or whether there was another fix.
The fuel line had deteriated and was pluging my fuel line.Ethanol did it again.

Possibly jb weld or marine-tex but seeing it's in a fuel area and a chance of fire, I'd find a used housing or replace the vro.
