Hi all! I recently put a 0 hour remanufactured powerhead into my 1989. Besides the new powerhead, it has a new wire harness, spark plugs, temp alarm, thermostats, impeller and housing, new engine mounts, new carb kits, new solenoid, new gearcase seals, almost a new engine. All parts are original Evinrude parts. I even used original OMC lubricants to put all back together.
It starts with a half crank, and steady idle @ 650rpm. But... when put in gear it shakes like an old washing machine, until it reaches 3k rpms. Once there it runs clean to 5.5k rpms. We've looked into everything and have not been able to figure out what is causing the shaking.
It is driving me crazy! Any ideas!?
