I have an electrical problem on my 25hp 4 stroke Mariner outboard engine that I hope you may be able to assist me with.
I can lift the engine with the raise switch, but I cannot lower it with the lower switch; I suspect the raise signal is a direct feed from the 12v supply, but the lower signal goes through a relay to reverse the polarity to the motor to enable it to run in the opposite direction, thereby lowering the engine.
I could do with a wiring diagram to help me trace the fault; can you help?
Serial number is OG993652, year of manufacture is 2000.
