I have a 1985 Yamaha 115 2 stroke that had an ethanol problem. Found sludge and fine junk in the filter. Replaced all the fuel lines from tank to engine and within the engine. Also changed fuel pump, filter and fuel tank priming bulb. I cleaned out the carburetors and thought I did a good job. Now engine will start but won't stay running also, does the craziest thing. It will increase speed on its own without moving the throttles. When I start it , I have the throttle advance a little but it seems like the engine races beyond what the throttle should be allowing. Could an intermittently blocked/unblocked jet be the issue? Could the automatic choke be the issue? I am at a loss.....
