Quicksilver Throttle works backwards HELP Please

I just hooked up my cables from a Mercury Quicksilver control box to a Tracker Force 40 outboard engine. The throttle cable pushes out when I increase throttle and back at the engine it decreases throttle. The cable pushes when it should be pulling. I don't see any other way to hook this up at the controller or the engine. It looks very simple to hook up but it works backwards. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?
