I was given a 90 HP Yamaha 4 stroke 2005 outboard by a dealer.--------Corrosion of water jacket was the reason it was scrapped.-------Have never seen that on a Johnson or Evinrude.----Just junk material used in the nice looking motor !

It would be nice to know what Yamaha is thinking when it comes to the aluminium alloys they use. They do seem to corrode moreso than other models. Suzuki's being a close second.
